PCMtuner + GODIAG Read Ford SID208 ECU with Openport

This is a tutorial on how to use PCMtuner + GODIAG GT100 & ECU GPT Adapter to read Ford SID208 with Openport. Read this article to learn the procedure.

Connection

1) Connect PCMtuner, GODIAG GT100, GODIAG ECU GPT Boot AD Adapter & SID208 module together.

2) Plug the PCMtuner dongle into the computer, and connect it to power.

Note: When simulating reading the car password, you must press the switch, otherwise it cannot be read.

Operation

Open PCMFlash software on the computer.

JIR SID208 >> Identification >> Read

Save the read password file.

Use a screwdriver to disassemble the ECU.

Connect the ECU with colored jumpers according to the previous wiring diagram.

And then solder the chip to the PCB board.

You can directly use the red wire to connect CNF1 on the PCB board, which is very convenient.

After soldering is completed, open the PCMFlash software.

TC1797 MICRO >> Identification

At this time, manually pop up the switch button.

*The open port device needs to be read automatically, so you must manually pop up the switch.

Click "Read" after recognizing it >> Select the password file you just read

Save the data file after reading.

Continue to read the Flash data.

TC1797 eeprom >> Identification >> Read >> Select the password file >> OK

Save data file.

Solution:

Problem 2:

My digital certificate has been obtained and placed in the corresponding directory. When I open the software, it keeps prompting me to send the machine code to the tuner box mailbox.

Solution:

Set the default opening mode of the PCMtuner license to PCMtuner Flash as shown below.

Note: Make sure the certificate file name has not been changed by you.

Problem 3:

After opening the PCMtuner flash, my computer is not responding and the software is not responding.

Solution:

Set your "Region" to English as shown in the image below and check the Beta version of Unicode.

If the problem persists, set the display language to English as shown in the image below.

If you are unable to open PCMtuner flash normally after all the above steps, it means that there is something wrong with your computer.

Replace the computer or replace the computer system. If you do not want to operate, you can continue to use the PCMflash software as working software.

Solved: PCMflash "Unable to Use Selected Interface" Issue

Problem: The V1.24 PCMtuner is unable to recognizll are unactivated. The PCMflash prompts: " Unable to use selected interface(J2534: Scanmatik - SM2 USB). Check if it's connected and not in use by other applications."

Solution

1. Close all PCMflash software;

2. Re-insert dongle to recognize;

3. Restart PCMflash software.

NOTE

Please ask your agency to activate account firstly if haven't.

Please DO NOT open multiple PCMflash software meanwhile.

Solution: PCMtuner Account Can't Login Due to Reinstall Windows

Question: My PCMtuner account email is unable to login since reinstalling Windows system. It always prompts: "User already exist!!" when I'm trying to log in. What's the problem, please help.

Solution

The reason why cause the issue is because previous account has been bound to system. Close the account, then re-register & re-activate can solve it.

All the users have to do is to provide account & explanation to agency, then problem can be done.

PCMtuner + VVDI BIMTOOL PRO Repair BMW CAS3 Data Loss

PCMtuner ECU Programmer + Xhorse VVDI BIMTOOL PRO can repair BWM CAS3 data loss on bench. Need to disassemble engine module & CAS3 module from vehicle. Considering the reason of CAS3 data loss, we can read from engine module.

Step1. Read Data via PCMtuner

Connect PCMtuner with engine module.

Read & save data.

Find out ISN code in eeprom file.

Remember to record it.

Step2. Repair CAS3 Data via VVDI BMW Tool

Connect VVDI BMW Tool to computer.

Select options:

Exchange ECU/CAS >> CAS-CAS3+(0L15Y, 0M23S)(ISTAP)-EEPROM >> Load a normal CAS3 data of other BMW >> Do not have the original key or ISN

Step3. Test New Data

2. Test key & engine with a test platform. All work normally.
